Somehow, perhaps under mysterious circumstances, Duke finds himself trapped once again on the same alien home planet, only this time he’s stuck on a strange island surrounded by a deadly acidic ocean. Swimming away is not an option so locating an intact space vessel would be a better choice. It worked before… right?

Once Duke regains consciousness, he finds himself prisoned in a strange and scary place. He feels the heat of lava below and a foul stench of burnt corpses penetrating his nostrils. Surrounding him are similar cages situated above a molten pit, their residents now just charred flesh and bone. Nearby a cave begins to open. Angry growling echoes from the other side…

Just another one of those facilities currently dealing with an alien invasion, this time a research station located somewhere in the Californian desert running some mysterious experiments referring to a plant entity titled “The Root”. But the answers to those questions can wait another day. Duke infiltrates the facility after hiding inside a truck with his trusty Chaingun Cannon in hand.

Modern architectural designs and twisted halls of physical fine art takes the spotlight. Hostile engagements around open areas will be constant, dangerous ambushes await in enclosed spaces and anything could be lurking beyond that next corner already alerted to your presence.
Aliens have decided to grab a beer at a modernised British pub in Lynnchester called The Flaming Shipwreck, slaughtering the local folk and causing all sorts of trouble. Being too much for the local police force, Duke has been assigned to remove their presense from the area.

Word has it that the heretical forces are lurking within the frozen caverns nearby, plotting their evil schemes or perhaps wandering around with aimless goals. Doesn’t matter though, they must be cleared out to forbid them any advantage. The only entrance there is by boat and thus you set sail toward their current lair.
