Introduction Takes place after Garrett has entered the sewers from the previous mission, looking for a way out of the city of Rocksbourg. Navigating is difficult due to the darkness and the place is full of the undead, with sounds coming from every direction. He locates an old latern, taking it to provide some light. But this only causes his fears to come true. The undead have found him. He makes a quick escape, only to find himself running into a dead end. Suddenly, a portal opens and a voice speaks, “If your survival is important to you, come with me, right now”. With no other options, he jumps through.
Garrett makes his way into the heart of the city, but didn’t expect the place to be so vast and well guarded. During his search he hears rumours of the city being attacked by the undead, but too concerned about other issues to take much notice. While picking a door he is eventually attacked by a Mechanist machine. Wounded, he tries to escape down a ladder. It breaks taking Garrett to the streets below and faints.
The first out of six parts in the Rocksbourg series. Now that Karras is dead, the City has been chaotic. Plots, conspiracies and murders. Garrett decides to retreat to Rocksbourg, some kind of ancient fortress town. After some exploration, working in the outskirts and getting into contact with some Keepers, Garrett eventually decides to head toward the Builder’s Cathedral in the heart of Rocksbourg to find a good bit of wealth. However the city is not all that it seems to be and the night has only just begun.
After acquiring information about a mansion outside the City owned by a fellow named Roderick, famous for his prized Jade Sceptre, I decided to pay the place a visit. This item could fetch a great amount on the market after all. There has been nothing but bad rumours about the manor, but I’m certainly used to that by now.
