Rating System Updated

It has always been bothering me for months when I would look at the rating system and feel rather annoyed about it. I started to find that the original 100/100 just wasn’t working due to various reasons. As some of you may or may not have noticed, I began to stick to intervals of five between my scores quite a while back, but even that didn’t help matters, as the whole basis of the rating system just never satisfied me. I would never see myself give any map or modification a perfect score of 100 and that already makes the system rather pointless in that regard. I had ideas to go for either a 10/10 or 5/5 system, but even those didn’t really appeal to me. I wanted to go for something a little different with the new system.

I’ve now hopefully came up with a working solution. The new rating system should have a little more of a fun appeal towards it, while remaining a form of an award to the author(s) and a form of recommendation to the player(s). This new system will be used starting with the next review and following on from there.

You can read about how the system works and what it looks like in this documentation here.
